Welcome back all!
I hope that you all had a wonderful Christmas and an enjoyable and safe New Years. We did, a nice quiet Christmas with family, quiet in that we had family over for breakfast, then went to C's family for brunch who only live a few suburbs away, then home again for Little O to have an afternoon nap and my family back over for a light dinner. I really enjoyed the day as it wasn't rushed, we could all take our time and enjoy every moment of it. The weather here wasn't so crash hot with thunder storms and lots of rain but I am sure the garden at least appreciated it.
New Years was a different story. We decided to go away at the last minute to stay with family and friends. We had good company all round but the weather was the complete opposite of Christmas. Hot northerly winds and temperatures above 40 degrees Celsius (about 104 Fahrenheit). We were outside most of the time and with Little O having very fair skin like myself I felt that all I did all weekend was walk around lathering sunscreen on him (and myself) and constantly telling him to keep his hat on and drink more water. I am sure on several occasion I saw him roll his eyes up at me, like "oh no, seriously mum, you want to do this again!"
Once we were home and settled I jumped straight on the computer to check out all my favorite blogs (not literally, but you know what I mean..ha..ha :-)), I found out that Jill over at Stocki had awarded me this...
...The Liebster Award. How lucky and special did this make me feel. It is always nice to be acknowledged for things that you do, and even better when it is something that you love. Thank you so much Jill.
Now according to the rules of the award, being the recipient I must:
1) Link back to the blogger who gave it (again, thank you Jill)
2) Paste the award on the blog
3) Choose 5 blogs to pass this award to (they must have fewer than 200 followers)
4) Let the recipients know about their nomination by leaving a comment on their blogs.
So here are my 5:
A beginner in the crochet world, but one very talented lady. I must admit I have a secret following for the Hexipuff updates, I love hearing about their adventures.

Clair's photos of her daily life are just beautiful. She has a way of telling beautiful stories with her photographs.
Bronwyn challenges herself to create something crafty everyday of the year, with great success.
I love the updates of the farm life, the crafting, the chooks, the garden produce, all told with a great sense of humor.
I discovered this blog when looking for a pattern. I loved it so much I then spent the next hour reading through the past posts.
I hope that you take the time to visit these blogs and like me that they become your favorites too.
